PERRYVILLE, Mo., (KBSI) — Perry Park Center is reminding residents that June 17 is the final day to register for its Introduction to Wild Caving program, a two-part experience designed to teach participants about cave exploration and safety.

The program begins with a caving education session at 5:30 p.m. June 18 at the Perry Park Center. Participants will then take part in a guided cave exploration at 9:30 a.m. June 20, meeting near Pavilion No. 10.

Both sessions are required for participation.

The program is open to adults and children, although participants ages 7 to 17 must attend with a registered parent or guardian.

Officials said the program will be led by experienced guides and will provide participants with an opportunity to explore the natural cave systems of Perry County.

Registration is available online or in person at the Perry Park Center. Additional sessions are planned for July, August and September.
