Perryville teacher Dr. John Cross honored as MSTA Unsung Hero
PERRYVILLE, Mo., (KBSI) — Dr. John Cross has been recognized as an Unsung Hero by the Missouri State Teachers Association for his contributions to public education.
Cross, a mathematics teacher at Perryville High School, serves on the MSTA Southeast Region board of directors. He was honored for his substantive yet unrecognized contributions to the organization’s mission.
“John stepped into leadership for his county teachers association when he was needed,” said Tracy Darian, MSTA member service coordinator. “He brings positivity to his district and is always smiling.”
Cross has taught mathematics for 27 years, including 23 years at Perryville High School. He also serves as president of the District #32 Professional Development Committee and the Perry County Teachers Association.
