Perryville woman charged after allegedly striking man with vehicle

PERRYVILLE, Mo., (KBSI) – A Perryville woman faces felony charges after police say she intentionally struck a man with a vehicle, leaving him with multiple injuries.

According to the Perryville Police Department, officers responded to the 1000 block of North Main Street around 1:50 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 7, for a reported vehicle-pedestrian crash.

Upon arrival, officers determined the incident was not an accident but an alleged assault in which a vehicle was used as a weapon.

Police said the 29-year-old male victim suffered multiple injuries and was flown to a St. Louis-area hospital for treatment.

The suspect, identified as 26-year-old Kora M. Wilhold of Perryville, was arrested and charged with first-degree domestic assault involving serious physical injury, a Class A felony, and armed criminal action.

Wilhold is being held at the Perry County Jail without bond pending trial.

All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
