Person injured in Cape Girardeau shooting; investigation ongoing

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) — Police are investigating a shooting that injured one person in Cape Girardeau.

Officers responded to a home on Ranney Avenue around 8 a.m. Monday after a report of a shooting.

The victim had already left the scene and was en route to a hospital.

The victim suffered a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the arm, police said.

No arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing.
