Person rushed to hospital after apparent lightning strike at Illinois state park

BENTON, Ill., (KBSI) – A person was hospitalized after what appeared to be a lightning strike at Rend Lake on Tuesday afternoon. Officials have not confirmed the exact cause of his injuries.

First responders were called to the park in the afternoon, as a strong storm moved through the area.

Officials said a man was found injured and was taken to an area hospital for treatment. His condition has not been released.
