BURRILLVILLE, R.I. (WLNE) – A 7-year-old Rhode Island boy and his mom make it a yearly tradition to build elaborate sculptures when it snows.

Gabriel Primeau-White lives in Burrillville. His mom, Annie, said the tradition began when Gabriel was just two years old. She said her son hated the snow as a toddler, so she built a Thomas the Train snow sculpture to make the snow seem more fun.

The strategy worked! Annie told us, “Since then, he can’t get enough. Every year, he has a more elaborate vision, but he is also able to help a lot more. I can’t wait to see what he wants to create next year!”

Gabriel picks what he wants to build based on his current interests. His mom said it takes a team effort and usually an entire day (sometimes two days) to complete.
