Pietrantoni named new superintendent of Johnston City School District

JOHNSTON CITY, Ill., (KBSI) — Johnston City Community Unit School District #1 has named Josh Pietrantoni as its new superintendent, effective immediately.

Pietrantoni succeeds retiring Superintendent Kathy Clark and brings over 20 years of experience to the role, having served as an educator, coach and administrator in the district.

Pietrantoni served as assistant superintendent for the past year, working alongside Clark to prepare for her retirement.

“I’m truly blessed and humbled by this opportunity,” Pietrantoni said. “I’ve witnessed tremendous growth in our school district and community over the past 20 years.”
