PKCC to host teen dating violence program and family events in Southeast Missouri

EAST PRAIRIE, Mo., (KBSI) — Protecting Kids, Creating Change (PKCC) will host a program focused on teen dating violence on Tuesday, Feb. 24, at First Church of God in East Prairie.
The event will take place from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at 322 N. Washington St. Organizers say caregivers will learn about teen dating violence, prevention strategies and reporting procedures.
In addition, PKCC will host two family focused “Protecting Our Cubs” events featuring Green Bear and friends.
A free event is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 21, from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. at United Methodist Church in Charleston, located at 1700 E. Marshall Ave.
Organizers say activities for children will include crafts, games, story time and visits with Green Bear. Safe adults will supervise children during activities. Infants are asked to remain with caregivers.
