Planned outage to impact Marshall County substations later this month

MARSHALL COUNTY, Ky., (KBSI) — A planned power outage is scheduled later this month for portions of Marshall County, according to Jackson Purchase Energy Cooperative.

Officials said the outage will affect the Draffenville and Palma substations beginning at 10 p.m. April 26 and is expected to end by 4 a.m. April 27.

The outage will allow Big Rivers Electric Corporation to perform maintenance on a tie switch connecting multiple substations.

About 800 customers are expected to be impacted, officials said.

Utility officials encouraged customers to check the outage map online for updates and thanked members for their patience during the work.
