Police arrest East St. Louis man in connection with armed robbery investigation

CARBONDALE, Ill., (KBSI) — Police arrested a 19-year-old East St. Louis man early Tuesday in connection with an armed robbery investigation.

Elijah Holmes was taken into custody after officers found him with false identification. He had an outstanding parole violation warrant and was found with two firearms, including one reported stolen.

Holmes was charged with multiple counts, including possession of a stolen firearm and obstructing justice. He was jailed in Jackson County.
