Police chase ends in deadly shooting after liquor store robbery

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI)- The Missouri State Highway Patrol has launched an investigation into an officer-involved shooting in Poplar Bluff.

According to Sgt. Clark Parrott, the Highway Patrol was requested by the Poplar Bluff Police Department to lead the investigation.

– Time: Tuesday afternoon, prior to 3 p.m.
– Location: Near Highway 67 and Highway PP intersection

According to Sgt. Clark Parrott, a fatal officer-involved shooting occurred following a police chase triggered by a liquor store robbery.

Initial investigation reveals, a male suspect stole from a local liquor store.

Police pursued the suspect, leading to a chase.

Officers ultimately engaged the suspect, resulting in fatal shots.

The suspect has been confirmed deceased.
