Police investigate report of shots fired in Carbondale

CARBONDALE, Ill., (KBSI) — Police in Carbondale are investigating a report of shots fired that resulted in property damage.

Officers responded to the 600 block of North Bridge Street at 7:30 a.m. on July 15, following a report of damaged property.

According to police, a verbal dispute between unknown individuals occurred around 9:25 p.m. the previous evening, followed by multiple gunshots.

Witnesses described two individuals wearing dark clothing running from the area.

No injuries were reported, but some property damage occurred.
