Police investigating armed threat reported on William Street in Cape Girardeau

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) — Police are investigating a reported weapon violation that occurred late Monday night in the 2100 block of William Street.

Around 11 p.m. Oct. 28, officers responded to the area after receiving a report that two men had approached a victim asking for directions. During the encounter, one of the suspects reportedly became upset, pulled a firearm from his waistband, and threatened the victim, police said.

The victim ran into a nearby convenience store for safety while the two suspects left the scene before officers arrived.

No arrests have been made, and the investigation remains ongoing, according to the Cape Girardeau Police Department.
