Police investigating incident in Cape Girardeau; seek information

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) — Police are investigating an incident that occurred March 23 in the 300 block of South Sprigg Street, according to the Cape Girardeau Police Department.
Officials said officers are working to identify all individuals involved and are asking the victim or anyone with additional information to come forward.
Police acknowledged that a video of the incident has circulated online and said it has generated concern.
Authorities noted a patrol vehicle visible in the video was unoccupied and parked outside a police substation at 629 Goodhope St. at the time.
Officers said incidents like this are taken seriously and are investigated when they become aware of possible criminal activity.
