Police search for 2 suspects after robbery at Chaffee convenience store

CHAFFEE, Mo. (KBSI) – Police in Chaffee are looking for two suspect after a convenience story was robbed at gunpoint just before midnight on Monday, April 11.

It happened at the Rhodes 101 Convenience Store located at 12135 State Highway 77 in Chaffee.

Two males wearing hoodies, with their faces covered entered the store at the east entrance. The two suspect wondered around the north side of the store near the coolers for a few minutes and then walked to the area near the south side of the store, according to Chaffee police.

The clerk had stepped into the back room briefly and when he came out was confronted by the two males. Chaffee police say the two males showed a dark colored pistol and demanded the clerk to open the register. Once the register was opened, an undisclosed amount of cash was taken by the suspects.

It appeared the suspects left the store and ran south.

The first suspect is described as a white male, late teens or early twenties, 5’10”/5’11”, heavyset, wearing light colored cargo pants, black with grey camo sleeves Nike hoodie with black and white tennis shoes.

The second suspect is described as a black male, late teens or early twenties, 5’07”/5’08”, slender build, wearing light colored skinny jeans with holes in front, black colored hoodie and what appears to be a white colored watch.
