8-year-old girl found safe, father facing multiple charges

LEDBETTER, Ky. (KBSI) – An 8-year-old girl has been found safe and her father is in custody after Livingston County Sheriff’s deputies and Kentucky State Police investigate a child abduction near Ledbetter, Ky.

Corey Cowen, 32, faces one count of kidnapping, one count of custodial interference, one count of assault 4th degree and one count of possession of marijuana less than 8 ounces, according to the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office.

Raelyn Cowan has been located and is safe.

Corey Cowen, 32, abducted his daughter who he does not have custody of, according to the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office.

The sheriff’s office thanks Kentucky State Police for assistance with this case.

Cowan will be taken to the McCracken County Jail.
