Police seek help in solving lawn mower thefts in Scott City

SCOTT CITY, Mo., (KBSI) — Authorities are seeking the public’s help in identifying those responsible for stealing lawn mowers from a local business in Scott City on two separate occasions.

The business was broken into in late April and again in mid-June, with Zero-turn John Deere lawn mowers taken each time.

The investigation has revealed that other John Deere dealerships in the area, including one in Miner, and two in other states, have also been targeted.

Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Scott City Police Department, where they can remain anonymous.
