Poplar Bluff educator honored for 33 years of service

POPLAR BLUFF, Mo., (KBSI) — Patty Robertson, outgoing assistant superintendent of curriculum, was recognized by the Missouri House of Representatives for her 33 years of dedicated service to the Poplar Bluff school system.

Robertson, a graduate of the Poplar Bluff school system, began her career as a special education aide at Williamson-Kennedy Elementary in 1992.

She went on to teach at Oak Grove Elementary and later served as principal of the 5th & 6th Grade Center.

Robertson joined the superintendent’s cabinet in 2010 and has spent the last 15 years in administrative roles.

Karmen Carson, a Poplar Bluff Kindergarten Center teacher and Missouri State Teachers Association representative, presented the resolution to Robertson on behalf of the Missouri House of Representatives.
