Poplar Bluff firefighters to host free Splash Tour event at Hendrickson Park

POPLAR BLUFF, Mo., (KBSI) — Poplar Bluff firefighters are giving families another opportunity to cool off during the summer heat with the third stop of the PBFD Splash Tour.
The Poplar Bluff Fire Department and IAFF Local 2543 will host the free event from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 13, at Hendrickson Park.
Firefighters will spray water for children and families to run through, and free popsicles will be available while supplies last.
Organizers encourage participants to bring towels and wear clothes they don’t mind getting wet.
The event is free and open to the public.
The Splash Tour is organized with support from the City of Poplar Bluff, Poplar Bluff Parks and Recreation, the Poplar Bluff Fire Department and IAFF Local 2543.
