Poplar Bluff Police arrest two on warrants, investigate theft reports

POPLAR BLUFF, Mo., (KBSI) — Authorities arrested two individuals on warrants and responded to multiple theft reports on Jan. 11.

Jennifer Councilor-Baney, 33, of Poplar Bluff, was taken into custody and lodged at the Butler County Justice Center.

In separate incidents, officers investigated the theft of an electric meter from a residence in the 1700 block of Garfield and responded to a report of stealing at Home Depot.

At Home Depot, an employee reported that a suspect stole a shopping cart. Officers located the suspect, trespassed them from the property and recovered the stolen cart.

Trent Liles, 32, of Poplar Bluff, was also arrested on a warrant and lodged at the Butler County Justice Center.
