Poplar Bluff to begin search for permanent city manager this fall

POPLAR BLUFF, Mo., (KBSI) – Lori Phelps will continue serving as acting city manager for the City of Poplar Bluff through the end of 2026.

City officials announced Wednesday that the City Council plans to begin its search for a permanent city manager this fall.

Phelps has served as acting city manager since the resignation of former City Manager Robert Knodell in February.

She will also continue serving in her roles as city clerk and treasurer.
