Portageville Fire Department responds to vacant house fire

PORTAGEVILLE, Mo., (KBSI) — The Portageville Fire Department responded to a residential structure fire at the corner of 7th and Lesieur streets early Friday morning.

Firefighters arrived on scene around 2:30 a.m. to find a single-story vacant home fully engulfed in flames.

Crews worked to contain the fire and protect nearby exposures. Units remained on scene until around 6 a.m.

Apparatus on scene included Engine 1, Ladder 10 and Tanker 15.
