Portageville firefighters respond to two agricultural equipment fires

PORTAGEVILLE, Mo., (KBSI) — The Portageville Fire Department responded to two separate farm equipment fires over consecutive days this week.

On Thursday, Oct. 16, at 4:50 p.m., crews were dispatched to County Road 343 near Risco for a report of a cotton picker on fire. Tanker 15 and Engine 3 responded to the scene.

The following day, Friday, Oct. 17, around 2:17 p.m., Portageville Fire was requested to provide mutual aid to Wardell Fire Department for a combine fire in a field near State Highway B. Engine 3 and Tanker 15 again responded to assist.

No injuries were reported in either incident.
