Portageville School District offers free meals to all students

PORTAGEVILLE, Mo., (KBSI) — The Portageville School District has announced its participation in the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) program, providing free breakfast and lunch to all students for the 2025-2026 school year.

The program, which includes high school, middle school and elementary students, eliminates the need for household applications for free and reduced-price meals.

By offering meals at no charge, the district aims to create a better learning environment, as research shows that well-nourished students perform better academically.

The school meals served meet U.S. Department of Agriculture guidelines for healthy school meals.
