Portageville women with warrant tries to outrun deputies

NEW MADRID COUNTY, Mo. (KBSI) – A women is in custody after refusing to stop for a traffic stop.

According to the New Madrid Sheriff’s Department on September 15, deputies noticed a vehicle was speeding on Walnut Street in Marston.

Deputies attempted to stop the vehicle, but the vehicle would not stop.

This led to a police chase that ended in the vehicle hitting a mailbox and then hitting a tree.

Deputies say a female got out of the vehicle and attempted to run.

The female was later identified as Aaron Muse of Portageville.

Muse led deputies on a short foot chase before being caught and arrested and taken to the New Madrid County Jail.

Muse had a New Madrid County warrant for felony assault and will face other charges.
