Power, water outages reported in Mounds

MOUNDS, Ill., (KBSI) — UPDATE: Power has been restored, and the boil water order has been lifted.

A power outage and water outage are affecting some residents of Mounds, Illinois, due to Ameren work near the water valve house.

According to village officials, the water outage is expected to be restored within a couple of hours, followed by a boil water order.

Residents were not notified of the work beforehand, and officials apologized for the inconvenience.
