Former Cape Girardeau municipal building hits the market
CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KBSI) – The City of Cape Girardeau put its former municipal office building at 401 Independence St. on the market.
The former local government building officially went on the market last Friday, Feb. 24, for $870,000.
The 86-year-old brick structure, which was listed by Jacob Fish of Edge Realty, was originally the home of Lorimier School, back in 1937.
It was used from 1978 through 2021 by the City before locating to the new location at 44 N. Lorimier Street.
