Proposition Fire and Life Safety will help fund critical equipment for Gordonville FPD

GORDONVILLE, Mo., (KBSI) – The passage of Proposition Fire and Life Safety will enable the local fire district to purchase essential, NFPA-certified fire equipment and new EMS equipment.
The district’s first responders face significant financial obligations due to the diverse responsibilities of their role.
Replacing outdated EMS and fire equipment is crucial, but costly.
Equipping a single firefighter costs around $20,000, while ALS equipment and supplies for Advanced Cardiac Care in emergency situations exceed $50,000.
As a volunteer fire district, residents are not charged for routine fire and EMS services or equipment usage.
