Public meeting set for Paducah-McCracken transportation plan

PADUCAH, Ky., (KBSI) — The Paducah-McCracken Metropolitan Planning Organization will hold a second public meeting Thursday, Sept. 24, to gather input on its draft 2050 Metropolitan Transportation Plan.
The meeting will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. CDT at West Kentucky Community and Technical College’s Emerging Technology Center, Room 109, at 5100 Alben Barkley Drive.
The Metropolitan Transportation Plan serves as a long-term blueprint for identifying transportation needs and determining how the region will prioritize transportation investments over the next 20 years and beyond.
The planning process includes input from local agencies, the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, residents and other interested parties.
An initial public meeting on the draft plan was held Sept. 15.
The draft 2050 Metropolitan Transportation Plan is available for review through the Purchase Area Development District.
