PULASKI COUNTY, Mo., (KBSI) — The Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office says it has increased security at Crocker School after threats were made against staff members.
Sheriff Stacy L. Ball said deputies, detectives and Chief Larson are on-site working to identify the individuals responsible. Ball emphasized that anyone found responsible will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
“Threats are not how we solve disagreements,” Ball said in a statement. “If you are upset with decisions being made at our schools, there is a lawful process to make your concerns heard … but violence, intimidation, or threats will never be the answer.”
Ball encouraged parents and community members to follow proper channels, including contacting the superintendent or board secretary, reaching out to the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, or working with advocacy groups such as MPACT. He also urged parents to document communication and focus on school policies when raising concerns.
“I understand emotions can run high when it comes to our children and schools,” Ball said. “But threats only harm the very students and staff we’re all trying to protect. Let’s choose the lawful, constructive path forward.”
