Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office accepting applications for Junior Deputy Academy

WAYNESVILLE, Mo., (KBSI) — Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office is accepting applications for its Junior Deputy Academy, a five-day program designed for youth ages 12 to 16.

The academy is scheduled for June 1–5 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. daily and will be held at the sheriff’s office and designated training locations.

Officials said participants will receive hands-on instruction in areas including patrol operations, investigations, corrections, self-defense and scenario-based training.

The program will conclude with a graduation ceremony.

Applications must be submitted in person by 6 p.m. May 1 at the sheriff’s office. Space is limited, and selected applicants will be notified by May 15.
