Pumpkin Extravaganza returns to Murphysboro for fourth year

MURPHYSBORO, Ill., (KBSI) — The University of Illinois Extension AJMPU Unit will host its fourth annual Pumpkin Extravaganza, a free family event celebrating the fall season.

The event is set for the Lincoln Memorial Picnic Grounds and will feature pumpkin-themed activities, treats, crafts and games. Activities are geared toward youth ages 5 to 17, and children must be accompanied by an adult.

Organizers said the event is designed to give families an afternoon of hands-on learning and fall fun while highlighting the many ways pumpkins can be enjoyed.
