Rain gear will become handy on Wednesday morning
After a gorgeous Monday afternoon, clouds reentered the area on Tuesday. Tuesday was a mild day, with temperatures in the low to mid-80s. As of Tuesday afternoon, a weak storm system originating over the Plains will pass by, giving us a small chance to see a passing shower late Tuesday afternoon/evening. Most of the evening, however, will remain completely dry.
Rain chances start to go up overnight and into Wednesday morning as another storm system approaches. Rain could approach the western edge of the FOX 23 viewing area as early as 3-4am. Rain chances remain elevated for just about everyone during the morning commute.
It will be a good idea to take the rain gear with you before heading out Wednesday. Lows on Wednesday morning will be mild, in the low to mid-60s.
The best chance to see rain will be in the morning and early afternoon hours. After that, we may begin to see the sun poke out. A scattered storm cannot be ruled out, although the coverage of the storms will be a lot less widespread. We expect highs in the middle and upper-80s on Wednesday.
Temperatures will climb on Thursday and Friday. A cold front will bring that warmup to a halt on Saturday. Storms will be possible as the cold front passes on Saturday, and it will leave cooler air in its wake for the rest of the weekend.
