Rare albino fawn spotted in Missouri

GREENE COUNTY, Mo., (KBSI) — A rare albino fawn was recently captured on a driver’s dashboard camera in Greene County, according to the Missouri Department of Conservation.

John Flanders recorded the video earlier this month and submitted it to the department.

MDC officials estimate that about one in every 20,000 to 30,000 deer is born with the genetic mutation that produces a completely white coat.

Although deer with albinism are rare, Missouri does not prohibit hunters from harvesting them.
