Rash of vandalism prompts dozens of security cameras to be installed at Sikeston Recreational Center

SIKESTON, Mo. (KBSI) – After the bathrooms of the Sikeston Recreational Center were vandalized, security cameras were installed along the complex.

Officers of Sikeston Department of Public Safety and the City of Sikeston IT Department installed the cameras in partnership with GoSEMO Fiber.

Sikeston DPS Capt. Ryan Smith says that 22 cameras cover the complex to date with another 13 to be added in the future, according to City of Sikeston, MO Facebook page.

The cost was just under $10,000 and includes two different types of cameras. Those types after are pan-tilt-zoom cameras and multi imaging cameras that offer four different views.
