Red Cross offers financial assistance to Butler County storm victims

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) — The American Red Cross is offering financial assistance to Butler County residents whose homes were severely damaged or destroyed by the early April tornadoes, flooding and severe weather.

The program closes May 18. Those who have received a call, text or email from the Red Cross must respond and accept the invitation to proceed.

The Red Cross also offers disaster mental health support. Anyone needing support can contact the Disaster Distress Helpline at 1-800-985-5990.
