Reported shooting at Kentucky State University; Gov. Andy Beshear speaks out

FRANKFORT, Ky., (KBSI) — Gov. Andy Beshear says state officials are aware of a reported shooting at Kentucky State University on Tuesday. Preliminary information indicates there are injuries, though the number and severity have not yet been released.

Law enforcement officers are on scene, and a suspect has been taken into custody, according to the governor.

“We will share more information as it becomes available,” Beshear said, adding that he is asking Kentuckians to pray for those affected.

The investigation is ongoing.
