1 facing charges after reports of firearms discharge in Cape Girardeau County
CAPE GIRARDEAU COUNTY, Mo. (KBSI) – A Cape Girardeau man faces several felony charges after sheriff’s deputies responded to a call of a possible domestic involving potential discharge of a firearm on Cedar Hills Lane in Cape Girardeau County on Thursday. This is near Hwy. 177 north of Cape Girardeau city limits.
The Cape Girardeau County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office issued an arrest warrant for Dayvion Parker, 19, of Cape Girardeau. He faces charges of a Class B felony of domestic assault in the first degree, felony armed criminal action and a Class D felony of unlawful possession of certain weapons.
This warrant came with no bond. Parker remained in custody in the Cape Girardeau County Justice Center.
Nell Holcomb School was placed on lockdown due to “an abundance of caution,” according to the sheriff’s office. It did not generate at the school or because of anything at the school, according to the sheriff’s office. The school was able to come off the lockdown and proceed with the day.
