Ripley County deputies seek person of interest in license plate theft

RIPLEY COUNTY, Mo., (KBSI) — The Ripley County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the theft of a license plate from a truck parked on USDA property.

According to the sheriff’s office, surveillance footage showed a white male in a dark-colored Chevrolet pickup on the lot at the time the plate was taken.

Anyone with information about the individual or the vehicle is asked to contact Deputy Wheetley.

Officials emphasized that the individual is considered a person of interest only, and all suspects and persons of interest are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
