River Radio GM Mike Renick stepping down after 26-year career

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) — River Radio announced that General Manager Mike Renick will step down after more than two decades with the company.

Renick has worked with River Radio for 26 years, including the past six as general manager. During that time, he played a key role in expanding the company’s reach, strengthening its digital presence and overseeing programming across stations including K103, Real Rock 99.3, 93.9 Mike FM, SEMO ESPN and KZIM KSIM.

Company officials credited Renick with helping guide the organization’s growth and maintaining strong ties with the community and local businesses.

“Mike’s leadership, passion for radio and dedication to our listeners and clients have made a lasting impact on River Radio,” Executive Vice President of Sales Sean Rhoads said.

Renick said he is grateful for his time with the company and emphasized the continued importance of local media.

“It has been a true honor to serve this community over the past 26 years,” Renick said.

The company did not immediately announce a successor.
