River Ridge Winery to receive tourism award for excellence

SIKESTON, Mo., (KBSI) — River Ridge Winery, situated in a century-old farmhouse in northern Scott County, has been a staple in the region’s tourism industry for three decades.

The winery, which overlooks the Mississippi River, has been owned by Rob and Denise Bullock since 2016.

It was originally established by Jerry and Joannie Smith in 1994.

River Ridge Winery has welcomed visitors from all 50 states and 27 countries.

The winery’s success is a family effort, with Rob’s son involved in grape growing and winemaking since he was 14.

On March 6, Sikeston Tourism will present River Ridge Winery with the Tourism & Hospitality Award of Excellence at the annual Chamber Tourism Luncheon.

The award recognizes outstanding contributions to the tourism industry in the Sikeston area.

The luncheon will be held at Lambert’s Café at 12 p.m. and is sponsored by Saddle Ridge South.

Chamber members and the public are invited to attend. Lunch is $15 per person. For more information, call 573-471-2498.
