HERRIN, Ill., (KBSI) — Ron Ward Chevrolet is celebrating its 43rd anniversary, marking more than four decades of service to the Herrin community.

Founded in 1982, the dealership has grown from a small operation into a trusted automotive business, withstanding industry shifts while focusing on customer satisfaction and long-term relationships.

“Reaching our 43rd anniversary is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our entire staff at Ron Ward Chevrolet,” said Todd Ward, general manager. “We are a family, and we treat our employees and customers as family too.”

Ward noted the dealership’s management team now includes three generations — founders Ron and Mona Ward, himself, and his son, Jared Ward.

The dealership will host an anniversary celebration in partnership with the Herrin Chamber of Commerce on Thursday, Sept. 18, from 11:45 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. at the dealership. A ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place at noon, with light hors d’oeuvres, giveaways and opportunities to meet the staff.
