HERRIN, Ill., (KBSI) — Ron Ward Chevrolet is celebrating its 43rd anniversary this year, marking more than four decades of service to the Herrin community.
Founded in 1982 by Ron and Mona Ward, the dealership has grown from a small operation into a trusted name in southern Illinois, navigating industry changes while maintaining a focus on customer service. The business is now operated by three generations of the Ward family.

We’re incredibly grateful for the trust our customers have placed in us and proud of the impact we’ve made in our community.”
To mark the milestone, Ron Ward Chevrolet will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony with the Herrin Chamber of Commerce on Thursday, Sept. 18. The event will run from 11:45 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. at the dealership, with the ribbon-cutting set for noon.
