Run to Remember 5K to honor veterans July 18 in Perryville

PERRYVILLE, Mo., (KBSI) — Missouri’s National Veterans Memorial will host the Run to Remember 5K and Walk of Remembrance on Saturday, July 18.

The event is designed to honor the nation’s veterans while raising awareness of Missouri’s National Veterans Memorial and supporting its mission of remembrance, education and service.

The chip-timed 5K begins at 9 a.m. and is open to participants of all ages and fitness levels. The Walk of Remembrance, a non-timed event, starts at 9:30 a.m.

Registration is $35 for the 5K and $25 for the walk. Both registration options include a commemorative T-shirt, while 5K participants will also receive a race bib. Registration will remain open through the morning of the event.

Participants are encouraged to run or walk in honor or memory of a veteran who has made an impact on their lives.

Proceeds from the event will benefit Missouri’s National Veterans Memorial and support its efforts to provide a place of honor, reflection and education for veterans and their families.

The event will take place at Missouri’s National Veterans Memorial, 1172 Veterans Memorial Parkway in Perryville.
