Safe House of Southeast Missouri names Kim Dixon as Executive Director

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) – The Board of Directors of the Safe House of Southeast Missouri has announced the appointment of Kim Dixon as executive director.

Dixon has been part of the Safe House team for 15 years, most recently serving as operations director. She began her career with the organization as a child advocate before advancing to shelter director, where she worked to ensure safety, support and empowerment for survivors and their families.

The Board expressed full confidence in Dixon’s leadership, citing her integrity, empathy and deep understanding of the organization’s mission.

“Kim’s extensive experience and commitment make her uniquely qualified to guide the Safe House forward and strengthen our impact in the community,” the Board said in a statement.

“I have witnessed firsthand the evolution of our agency, and I am deeply invested in ensuring its continued growth and impact,” Dixon said. “I look forward to continuing my time with the Safe House and the mission of ending domestic violence in our community.”

The Board extended its gratitude to staff, supporters and community partners for their continued trust and collaboration under Dixon’s leadership.
