Safe House of Southeast Missouri recognizes volunteers, partners, donors, staff

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KBSI) – The Safe House of Southeast Missouri recognized the service of its volunteers, partners, donors and staff for their efforts to help survivors of domestic violence.

“So, without the support of our community, we would not be able to do the work that we do to provide safe shelter and supportive services to victims of domestic violence and so, its great to take the opportunity to thank people,” said Jessica Hill, executive director of the Safe House of Southeast Missouri.

During the luncheon and awards ceremony, Safe House announced a variety of successes including serving more than 587 clients and answering more than 700 hotline calls.

The average length of stay was 46 days.

Their next fundraising event is Vintage Now, a fashion show, which will take place on October 15 at the Show Me Center in Cape Girardeau. Tap here to learn more and buy tickets.
