Saint Francis Healthcare System hosts conclusion of pediatric asthma program
POPLAR BLUFF, Mo., (KBSI) — Saint Francis Healthcare System will host the conclusion of a pediatric asthma program on Friday, marking a milestone in Missouri’s efforts to combat the condition.
The “At Last! Pediatric Asthma Care at Home” (ALPACAH) program provides innovative asthma monitoring and support to rural children. Led by BioSTL’s Center for Rural Health Innovation, the program aims to transform asthma care for rural kids with uncontrolled asthma.
Participating families will gather at Saint Francis Clinic – Poplar Bluff to meet with providers, share their experiences and demonstrate how remote technology and personalized support have improved asthma management.
“ALPACAH is about delivering 24/7 care where families live, using cutting-edge tools to prevent emergencies before they start,” said Vijay Chauhan, head of the Center for Rural Health Innovation at BioSTL.
