Saint Francis to host pop-up blood drive amid shortage

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) — Saint Francis Healthcare System will host a pop-up blood drive Wednesday, Jan. 28, in partnership with the American Red Cross due to a severe blood shortage.

The blood drive will be held from 7 a.m. to noon at Saint Francis Medical Center’s Wellness Conference Center, Entrance 8. Walk-ins will be accepted throughout the morning.

Hospital officials said a single blood donation can help save lives and prevent delays in critical care.
