Saxony Lutheran High School receives $39,050 grant from Missouri FFA Foundation

JACKSON, Mo., (KBSI) — The Missouri FFA Foundation has awarded Saxony Lutheran High School a $39,050 grant to support its agriculture education program.

The grant is part of the foundation’s Horizon and Rising Sun Grants program, which aims to address gaps in agriculture education across Missouri.

According to Heather Dimitt-Fletcher, executive director of the Missouri FFA Foundation, the grant program was created to help schools purchase high-cost items such as facilities, equipment, and machinery.

The grant will be used to purchase items for the school’s new Agriculture Science Multipurpose Building, which will provide students with new training opportunities, tools, and equipment.

“We’re excited to receive this grant, which will allow us to furnish our new Agricultural Science Multipurpose Building,” said Mark Ruark, principal at Saxony Lutheran High School. “This will expand our students’ learning opportunities and provide a more well-rounded experience.”
