Scam Alert: Murray Police Department warns of fake calls

MURRAY, Ky., (KBSI) — Authorities are warning of a scam in which callers claim to be officers with the Murray Police Department and request payment in the form of gift cards.

The Murray Police Department said it would never request payment over the phone for any service. Officials advised those who receive such calls to hang up and not provide any information.
